Business Development für SME´s in South Africa

Today, there is a lack of companies offering relevant sustainable sanitation, water and waste management services and products in Southern Africa. Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) wanting to provide relevant products and services often lack the capacities and resources to enter the markets. SME also often lack general business model and plan development capacities. These challenges require an innovative business development and matchmaking approach to meet the differing needs of local entrepreneurs and European technology and service providers.
seecon has joined hands with ICRD Group Foundation (ICRD), the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) Namibia Business Innovation Institute (NBII) and the Water and Sanitation Association of Zambia (WASAZA) in improving conditions for business partnerships with local SMEs in the field of sanitation, water and resource management in Namibia, South Africa and Zambia.
Business development activities such as Business Model Ateliers, Smart Start-Up Programmes and business matchmaking services – offering exciting and novel opportunities in connecting businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs in the sanitation, water and resource management sector across borders – are carried out in the context of a development partnership as part of the develoPPP.de programme that is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmbh and seecon.
