Knowledge Management for Water Integrity
The Multi-Country Water Integrity Programme (MCWIP) is being implemented in Guatemala, Mozambique, Kenya and Nepal. The programme initiates interventions to prevent mismanagement and corruption in the water sector through new concepts, tools, methodologies, approaches and processes.
To understand which innovations work and how they could be scaled up, cewas – a seecon association – was mandated to introduce a knowledge management component. It aims at developing capacities, generating knowledge in water integrity and sharing lessons learned from the country projects and with partnering organisations.
The project is being implemented by the following partners: Water Integrity Network, cewas, Caritas Switzerland, Helvetas and the Swiss Water Partnership. cewas is responsible for various knowledge development and capacity building activities as well as the implementation of the Swiss Water Integrity Award, which rewards organisations and projects worldwide that have made considerable efforts and can demonstrate results in achieving water integrity. cewas set up an international jury and assisted in setting up the award criteria and selection procedure. cewas also organized the communication around the launch and awarding.
