The Limmat Valley is a living space with its own pulse. A place full of contrasts and great diversity. A valley with charisma. The future is shaped by people. In the Limmat Valley, many people are working on new ideas for their valley. In 2025, the pilot project “Regionale Projektschau Limmattal” will come to an end after 10 years of implementation. After the two intermediate exhibitions in 2019 and 2022, the “Final Project Exhibition” took place on April 10, 2025 in the old Monastery in Wettingen. 10 years of cross-border cooperation in 16 municipalities within the cantons of Aargau and Zurich – it was finally time for a reflection, a conclusion and an outlook.

Regionale 2025 offers a platform for these ideas. It conceives itself as a large project showcase (presentation platform) and is reminiscent of a triennial for the region. It is supported by the Association Regionale Projektschau Limmattal. It was founded in 2015 and is supported by 16 municipalities and towns in the Limmat Valley as well as the cantons of Aargau and Zurich. The aim of the association is to improve the image of the region and coordinate the various projects.

The conference marked the start of the final project exhibition in 2025. It presented the results of 10 years of work, addressed specialist topics, offered a glimpse into the future and demonstrated the transferability of the format to other regions. It was aimed at interested specialist audiences and brought together all interested parties, members and project organisers.

From May to October 2025, the Association Regionale Projektschau Limmattal will be presenting projects, project results and experiences on site under the motto: “On the road in the Limmattal”. This on-site project presentation makes the projects in the Limmattal region tangible for the interested public.
